How To Rename Desktop My Computer Icon in Windows XP

To rename System Desktop Icon do this:-

• Go to Start button

• Select Run

• Type regedit

• Go to ………………………HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\

• Search this ID For My Computer………………

                            {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

• Now rename the value                                                                                 

                                        LocalizedString to LocalizedString.old

• Create a string value named LocalizedString

• Set this value to which appears in Instead of My Computer name

 

• Reboot your PC

• After rebooting PC It appear as…………………
